Cheering Obama On!

Democratic Gold
You would think that the stalwart stonewalling tactics of the Republican dominant House would have resulted in deenergizing frustration at such a level that the President and his supporters could get nothing constructive done. But instead Obama has risen to the occassion with all the aplomb and fortitude which we expected from a man who fought the fiercest battle in modern political history to become the first African American elected to the US Presidency--still top job in the country and the world.
The President has managed in the face of unprecedented naysaying and obstruction to place some dynamic de facto governmental initiatives in motion via Executive Order. His rallying for jobs as well as opening up the White House not only for social, cultural and political affairs, but the Office of Public Engagement which provides innovative avenues for grassroot citizen involvement are golden examples of Obama's determination to provide avenues for every citizen's voice to be heard despite their social standing and income levels.
Obama is Amazing!
Despite and in the face of Republican threats to sue and some controversial Supreme Court decisions, the President soldiers on undaunted and determined to do what he can within his constitutionally sanctioned executive powers. It is unfortunate that the Republicans once again pull out all the stops in attempts to defeat Obama's balanced and reasonable plans for immigration reform as well as continue their dogged determination to undermine and thereby render ineffective, the Affordable Care Act reading too much into the decions and spreading inaccuracies before seeking reasonable views from Constitutional Law experts whose views of the outcomes might slightly differ.
Keep the President lifted in prayer and uplift his considerable efforts to fight for immigration reform, health care, minimum wage, voting rights, fairness and equality across the board.

Meeting an Extended ACA Deadline...Change We Can Afford...
Today is the big deadline and many are scrambling to get signed up with an affordable health insurance policy via the marketplace. Early reports are that there has been an enormous surge of down--to-the-wire filers and those who are eternally grateful for every extension that has been granted throughout the harried yet fruitful online and real time delivery process, giving them another chance. It is a crying shame that there has been so much negative campaigning against the Affordable Care Act by Republicans with an axe to grind. You would think that there were not millions of people already signed up and happy to finally be able to visit a doctor's office or receive much needed surgery or other medical treatment. The bottom line is Obamacare is working and the people who have gained from it are speaking. Friends and relatives alike have expressed satisfaction about their ACA policies. They also now have peace of mind and the wherewithal to get the medical treatment long unattainable.Thank god! I pray that the current invective in the form of general disrespect and television ads will cease. The opposition should stop using this issue as a means of building up momentum for Republicans in the midterm elections. People are in need and the ACA is meeting that need. All the brouhaha about deadlines and the administration's leniency in that regard should tone down as well. In fact, why not just call a moratorium on the negative criticisms, nasty ads and the general disparaging tone. Let people sign up for health insurance as long as they are in need and have made good faith efforts to comply with reasonable guidelines.Of course, deadlines are needed as much as rules and regulations. But, the compassion extended to those in need should be commensurate with the weight of the situation. Health care delivery has been at crisis proportion in our nation for a number of years. We finally have a system in place to work at fixing the problem. It is not a panacea. But it is american as apple pie--efforts by fellow citizens to meet the needs and address the concerns of their neighbors through constructive problem solving in the form of legislation. How about keeping the flow going within reason with commensurate doses of compassion for those really in need?

Medicaid Expansion and Praise for Obamacare
Obamacare has been a real Godsend for me and many people I know--family and friends--who do not have or did not have adequate insurance coverage until the Marketplace Exchange provided them with viable option. Because of the Medicaid Expansion component of the ACA and good fortune that my state has a governor who advocated for and elected the Medicaid option, I (and others similarly situated) will be covered in time fully for needed medical care and surgery which ironically or fortuitously is not on the books until early April. Thank you Obama and all in congress, senate, business leaders who voted, supported and advocated for expansion of Medicaid.

Praise for the ACA...
Everybody needs good quality affordable health care.Affordable health care has been a need many citizens have thirsted for and demanded in this country for decades. Finally, a leader came along with the vision and equipped with the capacity to bring it to fruition. Remarkably,Obama took up pieces of the Clinton Health Initiative revived it , built upon it and made the relay happen like an Olympian gold medalist.
He crossed the finish line with a concept drawn from a Republican governor who likely withholds support simply because Obama has made a success of it. Well, much to be said of an idea whose time has come when there is a good amount of perseverance, acumen and stamina to meet and rise to the occasion. In the face of extreme opposition and scathing criticism Obama had to contend with awaiting approval from the Supreme Court while dealing with continuous efforts by House Republicans to repeal the Act. Thankfully, many of the hurdles have been bypassed.
Ironically the law was based on a concept drawn from a Republican governor whose state made a success of it. He now denies ownership or support simply because Obama has made a success of it. Well,it is unfortunate that detractors are being so intellectually dishonest at this time when the entire country would be better off working together supporting Obama and any ideas or programs promoting sensible comprehensive Health Care Reform.
The current video flooding the television airwaves is incredibly slanted against the Affordable Care Act. It is disappointing that a faction disapproving the ACA chose to use a woman suffering from cancer to speak of ACA's shortcomings, using the media to spread falsehoods and play on people's sympathies.

Democratic Gold:Enricher of Our Democracy Not Dictator
You would think that the President's detractors and naysayers would have calmed down and their naysaying subsided by now and the reality of consistent and constructive actions by his administration to implement campaign promises would have by now been reasonably acknowledged. And that deserved recognition would have also included an in depth and honest evaluation of the Affordable Care Act and the good it provides the uninsured community. The recent rumblings and deranged accusations of him being a dictator because of his efforts to avert determined political stonewalling and disruption of a sound Presidential mandate by a majority of the U.S. voting public must mean something. It's time the volatile remarks cease and those opposing his policies make efforts to reasonably work out their differences.
You would think that all the discord and right wing cacophony would have caused deenergizing frustration at such a level that the President and his supporters would not have been able to get anything constructive done. But instead he continues on in the face of it even more determined to get things done through Executive Order if need be.
These challenges have only brought out the best in him. He has risen to the occasion with all the aplomb and fortitude which we expected from a man who fought one of the fiercest battles in modern political history to become the first Black man elected by a resectable margin to the US Presidency--top job in the country and the world.
The president has managed to place some dynamic de facto governmental initiatives in motion in his rallying for jobs as well as opening up the white house not only for social, cultural and political affairs, but the office of engagement is a golden example of this administrations determination to provide avenues for every citizens voice to be heard despite social standing and income.

Nobel Laureate Obama's Upcoming Global Challenges Concerning Iran and Afghanistan
If all disputes could be resolved by diplomacy...”what a wonderful world this could be”...
This week the administration has two important foreign affairs matters to negotiate.
Keep hoping and praying for the continued skill and vision which rendered Obama worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize.
Under the circumstances, guarded optimism isn't such a futile thing as long as hope, actuality and growing momentum of constructive progress pervades from its needed spark. Resorting to violence, destruction and aggression seems a needless waste in contrast. There is something to be said about leading from a position of strength bui
lt upon the input of skilled and trusted advisors, the sentiment of a democracy driven populus and ”proven” ethically driven global allies. That is what great leadership and exemplary statesmanship worthy of Nobel Laureates and Peace Prizes are really about. The more leaders employing these strategies, born of wisdom, foresight and negotiating prowess,.the better off the world. Maintaining such a center in the face of unspeakable atrocities and looming danger requires unfathomable courage, restraint and skill. That is s the stock and lot of worlds leaders, especially our President--the globe's and our nation's first black one. Opinions and passions of those whose safety and well being is entrusted to them and the great weight that mounts figuratively on their shoulders every second of each day must not be trivialized by shortsighted racial bias, fear of foreigners or political partisanship.
Let's keep them and the situation lifted in prayer...
