Democratic Gold

You would think that the stalwart stonewalling tactics of the Republican dominant House would have resulted in deenergizing frustration at such a level that the President and his supporters could get nothing constructive done. But instead Obama has risen to the occassion with all the aplomb and fortitude which we expected from a man who fought the fiercest battle in modern political history to become the first African American elected to the US Presidency--still top job in the country and the world. The President has managed in the face of unprecedented naysaying and obstruction to place some dynamic de facto governmental initiatives in motion via Executive Order. His rallying for jobs as well as opening up the White House not only for social, cultural and political affairs, but the Office of Public Engagement which provides innovative avenues for grassroot citizen involvement are golden examples of Obama's determination to provide avenues for every citizen's voice to be heard despite their social standing and income levels.
