Praise for the ACA...

Everybody needs good quality affordable health care.Affordable health care has been a need many citizens have thirsted for and demanded in this country for decades. Finally, a leader came along with the vision and equipped with the capacity to bring it to fruition. Remarkably,Obama took up pieces of the Clinton Health Initiative revived it , built upon it and made the relay happen like an Olympian gold medalist. He crossed the finish line with a concept drawn from a Republican governor who likely withholds support simply because Obama has made a success of it. Well, much to be said of an idea whose time has come when there is a good amount of perseverance, acumen and stamina to meet and rise to the occasion. In the face of extreme opposition and scathing criticism Obama had to contend with awaiting approval from the Supreme Court while dealing with continuous efforts by House Republicans to repeal the Act. Thankfully, many of the hurdles have been bypassed. Ironically the law was based on a concept drawn from a Republican governor whose state made a success of it. He now denies ownership or support simply because Obama has made a success of it. Well,it is unfortunate that detractors are being so intellectually dishonest at this time when the entire country would be better off working together supporting Obama and any ideas or programs promoting sensible comprehensive Health Care Reform. The current video flooding the television airwaves is incredibly slanted against the Affordable Care Act. It is disappointing that a faction disapproving the ACA chose to use a woman suffering from cancer to speak of ACA's shortcomings, using the media to spread falsehoods and play on people's sympathies.

Democratic Gold:Enricher of Our Democracy Not Dictator

You would think that the President's detractors and naysayers would have calmed down and their naysaying subsided by now and the reality of consistent and constructive actions by his administration to implement campaign promises would have by now been reasonably acknowledged. And that deserved recognition would have also included an in depth and honest evaluation of the Affordable Care Act and the good it provides the uninsured community. The recent rumblings and deranged accusations  of  him being a dictator because of his  efforts to avert determined political stonewalling and disruption of a sound Presidential mandate by a majority of the U.S. voting public must mean something. It's time the volatile remarks cease and those opposing his policies make efforts to reasonably work out their differences.

You would think that all the discord and right wing cacophony would have caused deenergizing frustration at such a level that the President and his supporters would not have been able to get anything constructive done. But instead he continues on in the face of it even more determined to get things done through Executive Order if need be.

These challenges have only  brought out the best in him. He has risen to the occasion with all the aplomb and fortitude which we expected from a man who fought one of the fiercest battles in modern political history to become the first Black man elected by a resectable margin to the US Presidency--top job in the country and the world.

The president has managed to place some dynamic de facto governmental initiatives in motion in his rallying for jobs as well as opening up the white house not only for social, cultural and political affairs, but the office of engagement is a golden example of this administrations determination to provide avenues for every citizens voice to be heard despite social standing and income.
